Excellent Location

Directly connected to Odori Station in the heart of Sapporo. 

The　International Academy, established in 1969, is located in downtown Sapporo. Students can easily commute to the campus by walking or cycling.
Nearby is Odori Park, which is surrounded by approximately 4,700 trees of 92 species, including lilacs and Japanese elms. There is a large underground walkway in the center of the city, so students do not need to worry about the weather. The Odori Subway Station, which is the closest subway station to the school, is a very convenient station with all three subway lines intersecting there. After getting off the subway, you can go directly to the school without going above ground.

About Hokkaido and Sapporo

Hokkaido

Hokkaido boasts an appealing No. 1 ranking in the “National Ranking of Attractiveness by Prefecture”. It is a fantastic place for sightseeing, with plenty to see and activities to do no matter where you go.  

In the spring of 2031, Tokyo and Sapporo are scheduled to be connected by Shinkansen bullet train, bringing them even closer together.

Sapporo

Japan's northernmost ordinance-designated city. The population is the fifth largest city in Japan. Its area is less than twice as large as the 23 wards of Tokyo. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of Hokkaido.

  • Full Term Plan (4 weeks): July 7, 2025 (Monday) – August 1, 2025 (Friday)
  • First Half Term Plan(2 weeks): July 7, 2025 (Monday) – July 18, 2025 (Friday)
  • Second Half Term Plan (2 weeks):* July 22, 2025 (Tuesday) – August 1, 2025 (Friday)
＊The second session is open only to applicants who have already mastered Hiragana and Katakana.

  • High school students and older (16 years and above)
  • Complete beginners to intermediate-level Japanese learners
Capacity
  • Classes are small, consisting of 3 to 8 student.
  • Classes will be held if there are at least three students at the same level.

  • Full Term Plan (4 weeks): ¥168,500 (plus ¥22,000 enrollment fee)
  • First/Second Term Plan (2 weeks): ¥91,000 (plus ¥22,000 enrollment fee)

　*Early Bird Discount: Enroll by April 7, 2025, to waive the enrollment fee.

Other Notes and Precautions
・Each lesson is 45 minutes, with three lessons given on weekdays.
・Level placements are based on information submitted prior and test results.
・As each class has a limited number of spots available, registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
・Registration will close once capacity is reached.
・If the minimum number of participants required to open a course is not met, the course may be canceled. In such cases, a full refund will be provided.
*Additional Costs： Materials fee is approximately ¥5,000 (cash payment on the first day).

Cancellation Policy

Please make the specified payment by the designated due date.

 No refunds will be given for cancellations due to the participant's circumstances, whether before or after course commencement.

International Remittance

Please make payment to the designated bank account. You are responsible for all bank transfer fees. If the bank transfer fee has been deducted from the amount transferred to the school, please pay the difference in cash at the school reception on the first day of classes.
